I came to coaching from a unique, yet complimentary, background. I attended the University of Manitoba for my Honours Bachelor of Arts degree where my course focus was Psychology. Through thesis research and written articles for conference presentations, I spent time studying optimism & pessimism. Research showed that a positive outlook has a definite impact on health and it is an important aspect of my coaching program today.
After graduating, I attended Queen’s University to complete my degree in Law (LLB). With an interest in Criminal Law, I articled with the Ministry of the Attorney General – Crown Attorney’s office. I became licensed as a lawyer upon my call to the Ontario Bar.
My love of working with people, and helping them navigate challenging discussions and situations, drew me to pursue studies in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Conflict Management. I have participated in ADR training courses with the Conrad Grebel College at the University of Waterloo as well as completed courses toward my Masters of Law (LLM) degree at Osgoode Hall Law School – York University.
